YOGA STYLES

HATHA YOGA
Hatha yoga classes are suitable for all abilities and posture can be adjusted to the needs of the students. It is often used to improve flexibility, strength and stamina but can also be used to aid relaxation. It is the basis of all the more specific yoga styles.

SIVANANDA YOGA
Sivananda yoga classes were designed by swami Vishnu – devananda and consist of a sequence of 12 main posture which should never be altered. Beginners are taught the new positions slowly and given time, their strength and flexibility will improve.

ASHTANGA YOGA
Ashtanga yoga was originally teach by Sri Pattabhi Jois. It is a system which is uses breathing rhythm to move through posture and is designed to purify and aligned the body, this type of yoga is ideally suitable for students who have some yoga knowledge.

MEDITATION & PRANAYAMA
1hour
Meditation is the practice by which there is a constant observation of the mind. It involves setting aside a regular time and place for the specific purpose of discovering that infinite well of wisdom which lies within.

YOGA ASANAS
1.5 hours , 2 hours
Originally, the asanas served as stable postures for prolonged meditation. More than just stretching, asanas open the energy channels, chakras and psychic centers of the body. Asanas purify and strengthen the body and control and focus the mind.

YOGA DAY SPA
One-day set program of yoga practices (guided meditation, pranayama, and asanas) combined with healing massage at The Spa, or pool and sun bathing. Complimentary wholesome vegetarian meals are served to enhance the wellness.

  • 6:00 am - Wake-up call
  • 6:30 am - Guided meditation/pranayama and yoga philosophy
  • 7:00 am - Tea
  • 7:30 am - Yoga Asana , Relaxation (1,5 hrs)
  • 9:00 am - Breakfast
  • 10:00 am - Sun bathing
  • 12:00 pm - Lunch (wholesome vegetarian meal)
  • 2:00 pm - Crystal Healing Hot Stone Massage
  • 4:00 pm - Yoga Asanas, Relaxation (1.5 hrs)

*Please note that in the mornings due to yoga, massage & physical reasons we suggest to only eat fruit*

YOGA WEEK
6 days of dusk or dawn Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation & Yoga Philosophy (2hrs/day)

YOGA RETREAT
6 days retreat of guided meditation, pranayama & yoga philosophy, yoga asanas, and relaxation (4hrs/day)

  • 6:00 am - Wakeup call
  • 7:00 am - Tea
  • 7:30 am - Yoga Asana, Relaxation (1,5)
  • 4:00 pm - Yoga Asanas, Relaxation (1.5 hrs)

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Please wear loose or comfortably fitting clothing.
  • Does not practice on a full stomach. Please allow four hours after a heavy meal,
    two hours after a light meal.
  • To avoid injury do not force the body beyond its capacity.
  • Please inform the instructor of any illness or injury, menstruation or pregnancy before the class commences.

AQUA WELLNESS


WATER PILATES
This flowing-water based workout focuses on muscular toning and definition through core-stability work, using state of the art floatation equipment from Italy. While developing strength, flexibility and body awareness, these specific water movements are also very supportive for those with back problems, weak joints, serious injuries, arthritis and anxiety. It is very safe and highly beneficial during pregnancy and postnatal recovery.

 

MARTIAL ARTS


TAI CHI
Tai Chi is one of the most broadly applicable systems of self care in the world. Tai Chi is generally practiced as a non-contact, non-competitive sport for focus, self awareness, health, and relaxation, combining movement, meditation, and breath regulation.

CHI KUNG (QIGONG)
Qigong is a combination of two ideas: "Qi" means air, breath of life, or vital energy of the body, and "Gong" means the skill of working with, or cultivating, self-discipline, and achievement. Qigong has been practiced to keep people in harmony with the universe, in good physical health, and in a state of peacefulness.

MARTIAL ARTS – YOGA COMBINATION
This class is an integration of the Yogic, Martial, and Living Arts into one holistic mind-body-spirit system reuniting the yogic and martial arts as practiced by the monks and sages of ancient history. The commitment is to the development of character, discipline, honor, and self mastery.
